Beginnings
Soon after graduating from college, I left Lancaster, PA and began a life-altering adventure as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I was sent to a small town located in a remote area of Paraguay. Not surprisingly, I discovered a place with tremendous need and a people with unsurpassed generosity. By the end of my Peace Corps assignment, I had accomplished some of my goals, but what I received from the people of Paraguay far exceeded my expectations. Without a doubt they taught me more than I could ever give them. I am now married to a Paraguayan and we have three sons. My family has traveled to Paraguay many times and each time we returned home with many stories of good times but also with a bit of a heavy heart. We always felt that there must be some way that we can help to improve the lives of a people we love so dearly, if only in a small way. And so was born OutreachParaguay...

Founders and Directors
Eileen Sosa is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is currently employed at PENN Medicine/Lancaster General Health, occasionally works as a substitute middle school and high school teacher, and volunteers at a Lancaster social service organization.
Milner Sosa is a middle school and high school Spanish teacher in York, Pennsylvania. Milner’s native country is Paraguay.
Eileen and Milner live in Columbia, Pennsylvania. They have three sons, David, Daniel, and Christopher, all involved and committed to OutreachPARAGUAY activities.
Activities
OutreachPARAGUAY Directors and Staff work in collaboration with the Paraguayan Ministry of Health, local community members, educators, and health care professionals when developing and implementing meaningful and sustainable projects.
Key Initiatives include:
Supporting educators and students in the Departments of Caazapá and Caaguazú (currently collaborating with fifteen schools)
Supporting a Mobile Health Clinic (Regional Hospital of Caazapá) serving remote communities in the Sexta Region of Caazapá
Supporting an agricultural school (Fe y Alegria, serving those “on the borders of exclusion”) in San Joaquin
Supporting Community Kitchens in San Joaquin and Yuty
Shipping supplies year-round (approximately one ton annually
